The Panasonic Lumix S1 Mirrorless Camera Body has advanced features for capturing high-quality still images and videos. It offers 24.2MP resolution, 9 fps shooting rate, and ISO up to 204800. The camera also has exceptional video capabilities with 4K30p, 4:2:2 10-bit color, and unlimited recording. It also features fast and accurate autofocus, image stabilization, and a durable weather-sealed body.

24.2MP Full-Frame MOS Sensor and Venus Engine

This Lumix S1 camera body has a 24.2MP sensor and updated Venus Engine, providing high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and flexible recording modes. Noise levels are reduced across the ISO range, allowing for fast continuous shooting at 9 fps with AF-S or 6 fps with AF-C. Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing technologies ensure high resolution and definition, while Color Control improves color reproduction in highlights and shadows.

UHD 4K HDR Video Recording

Capture stunning video with the S1, which features 4K recording in 10-bit color and unlimited recording time. Add in an optional firmware update for even more advanced capabilities, such as 4:2:2 sampling and V-Log support. External recorder, microphone, and headphone options are available as well.

Body Design

The L lens mount works with various optics. High-resolution 5.76m-dot OLED EVF has 0.78x magnification, 60 fps/120 fps refresh rate, 0.005 sec lag, and 10,000:1 contrast ratio. 3.2" LCD with tilting and touch capabilities. Live View Boost and Night mode for low-light conditions. Top status LCD displays shooting settings even when camera is off. Weather-resistant magnesium-alloy body. Ergonomic design with intuitive controls, illuminated buttons, and lock lever. Two memory card slots for storage flexibility. Multiple ports for file transfers, battery charging, video applications, and more. Battery lasts for 380-400 shots. High precision shutter mechanism with top speed of 1/8000 sec and flash sync of 1/320 sec. Tested for 400,000 actuations.

Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization

Capture sharper, clearer photos with Dual I.S. 2 on the S1. Combining 6.0 stop-rated sensor-shift image stabilization with 2-axis lens-based stabilization, this feature compensates for a wider range of movement. Compatible Lumix lenses with O.I.S. are required for use. Up to 6.5 stops of camera shake can be reduced.

DFD Autofocus System

Panasonic Lumix S1 Camera Body's DFD technology enables fast, precise autofocus in just 0.08 seconds. Advanced AI Technology intelligently tracks subjects based on factors like type, color, size, and motion for improved focus accuracy. The camera also has 225 AF areas, focus peaking, Touch MF Assist, and Low Light AF for optimal control and performance in various shooting situations.

6K and 4K PHOTO

The S1 offers 3 still shooting modes for capturing 8MP or 18MP stills at a high frame rate, including Burst, Pre-Burst, and Burst (S/S).

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Connect your smartphone/tablet to the camera with Bluetooth Low Energy (4.2) for a constant connection and low power consumption. Use IEEE 802.11ac and b/g/n for faster transmission and remote control/monitoring. For remote shooting control and image transferring, use Lumix Sync, an iOS/Android app. Transfer 4K video files to your smartphone using Wi-Fi.

Other Camera Features

  • With sensor-shift stabilization, the S1 has a High Resolution mode that combines eight exposures for a 96MP file. Great for static subjects and tripod use, it yields more detail and color accuracy than a single shot. Image resolution: 12000 x 8000 pixels.
  • HLG Photo mode expands dynamic range for better detail in shadows and highlights. Allows saving as HSP file in 4K or full resolution, plus JPEG and raw formats, for vivid 4K TV viewing.
  • In addition to conventional 3:2, 4:3, 1:1, and 16:9 ratios, photos can also be recorded in 65:24 and 2:1 panoramic formats.
  • I.S. Status Scope helps to recognize the type of camera shake being caused by displaying an arrow in the viewfinder or on the rear LCD.
  • Auto Flicker Detection automatically detects artificial lighting frequency and adjusts the shutter for consistent exposure and color.
  • Highlight Weighted Metering mode prioritizes highlight values to prevent scene overexposure.
  • Offering more versatility than standard Auto White Balance (AWB), an AWBw setting will retain a reddish warm tint while AWBc offers a cooler, bluish tint.
  • Capture higher quality photos and videos with Lumix Tether. Use wired, tethered shooting via USB connection for a larger live view, remote shutter control, and access to 6K and 4K Photo modes.
  • Photo Style modes: Standard, Vivid, Natural, Flat, Landscape, Portrait, Monochrome, L. Monochrome, L. Monochrome D, Cinelike D, Cinelike V, Like709, Standard (HLG), Monochrome (HLG), Like2100, and My Photo Style.
