The OM-1 Mirrorless Camera Body delivers superior image quality, portability, speed, and reliability. Its versatile Micro Four Thirds platform excels in stills and 4K video recording, while its unique computational imaging tools and sturdy design make it perfect for any adventure. The newly designed 20.4MP Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor improves noise levels and dynamic range for better image quality at higher ISOs.

TruePic X Processor

Compared to previous-generation processors, the TruePic X offers 3x-faster processing speeds along with a 120 fps sensor readout rate for faster, more responsive shooting. The processor also contributes to a wide ISO range and quick continuous shooting rates:

  • Native sensitivity range from ISO 200-25600, expandable to ISO 80-102400.
  • Continuous shooting up to 10 fps with full-time AF/AE and a buffer of 169 raw frames when working with a mechanical shutter.
  • If working with a silent electronic shutter, 20 fps shooting is possible with full-time AF/AE and a buffer of 108 raw frames. SH1 and SH2 are blackout-free high-speed shooting modes, offering rates up to 120 fps without AF/AE in SH1 and 50 fps with AF/AE in SH2.
  • Pro Capture mode records at 120 fps with fixed focus or 50 fps with continuous AF, starting when you half-press the shutter button and ending when you fully press it. It can record up to 70 additional frames as a safeguard for capturing action before pressing the button.

Cross Quad Pixel AF and AI Detection

OM-1 Mirrorless Camera Body features a unique design with on-sensor phase-detection AF for improved focusing in tricky lighting conditions. The system has 1053 points and can detect various subject types, including faces and eyes, with improved accuracy and speed.

5-Axis Image Stabilization

Body 5-axis image stabilization compensates for up to 8 stops of shake for longer handheld shooting. Sensor-shift system compensates for 7 stops with body and additional with IS-enabled lenses. Handheld Assist offers more stable framing with longer focal lengths. Also enables various shooting modes and functions, such as High Res Shot, Handheld Live Composite, and dust reduction.

Creative Shooting Modes

  • High Res Shot—This mode quickly combines 12 shots into a single high-resolution frame using the stacked sensor, processing power, and image stabilization system. It offers two modes with up to 2 stops of noise reduction and better color accuracy: a tripod mode producing an 80MP raw file and a handheld mode producing a 50MP raw file.
  • Live ND—Now supporting up to ND64 (6-stop), this unique function digitally simulates the effects of an optical neutral density filter for produce long exposure/slow shutter speed effects.
  • Live Composite—Capture long exposures, night shots, and light painting with gradual exposure that doesn't overexpose key elements. Also includes a Handheld Live Composite mode for real-time monitoring.
  • Focus Stacking—This mode automatically records 15 sequential frames while shifting the plane of focus slightly between each frame, then composites these exposures into a single image that exhibits an extended depth of field.
DCI/UHD 4K Video Recording

DCI/UHD 4K video recording up to 60p, 10-bit 4:2:0 sampling, Full HD recording at high-speed rates up to 240 fps. 12-bit raw output via micro-HDMI with optional compatible external recorder. HLG picture mode for HDR recording, OM-Log gamma for enhanced color grading in post, in-camera time-lapse production up to UHD 4K. 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports for audio recording control and quality.
EVF and LCD

Camera features a 5.76m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.83x equivalent magnification, 21mm eye point, 120 fps refresh rate, and a 3.0" 1.62m-dot vari-angle LCD touchscreen for versatile monitoring and shooting.
Durable, Weather-Sealed Build

Durable magnesium alloy body is IP53 dust- and splash-resistant, freeze-proof up to -10°C, and rated for 400,000 shutter actuations.

Practical and Intuitive Handling
  • Utilizing the new BLX-1 battery, the OM-1 is rated for 520 shots per charge. In-body battery charging is possible via the USB type-C port, and the camera itself can also be powered using a USB-connected power bank.
  • Dual UHS-II SD memory card slots for flexible file saving, including making in-camera backups, splitting file types, or just for having additional memory on hand for overflow storage.
  • Updated menu configuration makes it easier to find different settings, confirm settings selections, and understand why grayed-out items cannot be selected.
  • Separate AEL and AF-ON buttons for easier, more direct control over the different functions. Both buttons can also be customized to adjust different settings.
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (5 and 2.4GHz) allow wireless file transferring and remote control over the camera via the OI.Share app for mobile devices.
