45.7MP FX-Format BSI CMOS Sensor and Dual EXPEED 6 Processors

The Nikon Z7 II Mirrorless Camera's 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor offers high-resolution and low-light performance, fast readout speeds, and the ability to shoot continuously at 10 fps for up to 50 frames. It has a back-illuminated design for clear, low-noise output at high ISO values up to 25600. The sensor does not have an optical low-pass filter for maximum sharpness and resolution.

UHD 4K Video Recording

The Z7 II has additional features for multimedia use, including 4K and 1080p video recording and advanced video options like N-Log and HLG. It also has features for smooth handheld shooting and manual focus control, and audio recording can be improved with an external mic.

493-Point Phase-Detect AF System & Vibration Reduction

The sensor has a 493-point autofocus system that covers 90% of the image area, allowing for fast and accurate focusing in stills and video. It also has hybrid AF for smooth focus in video, and in-body 5-axis Vibration Reduction for up to 5 stops of camera shake compensation.

Body Design

The Nikon Z7 II features a versatile 3.2" tilting touchscreen LCD with 2.1 million dots for intuitive live view and playback, complemented by a high-magnification 3.6-megapixel OLED viewfinder with 0.80x magnification and NIKKOR optics for precise composition. A dot-matrix OLED top panel provides quick access to essential settings at a glance. Dual storage options—CFexpress Type B/XQD and UHS-II SD card slots—offer flexible workflow management with multiple recording strategies. The magnesium alloy body delivers robust dust and weather sealing for demanding environments, while the ergonomic grip with anti-slip coating and integrated joystick ensures comfortable handling during extended shoots. Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens

Covering a useful range of focal lengths, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is a versatile zoom, spanning wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives. Its constant f/4 maximum aperture maintains a consistent exposure throughout the zoom range and also helps to realize a more compact and lightweight alternative to an f/2.8 zoom. In regard to the optical design, a unique aspherical extra-low dispersion element, in addition to three aspherical elements, is used to help reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range in order to achieve high image sharpness and clarity. Both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings have also been applied to control flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color rendering in bright and backlit conditions.

Complementing the optics, a stepping motor provides quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override to suit both stills and video applications. A programmable control ring can be set for intuitive adjustment over a variety of camera and exposure settings. Additionally, the lens has a button-less retractable barrel to realize a more compact form factor when not in use.
