The compact objectives improve portability and reduce muscle strain during prolonged viewing, while maintaining strong low-light capabilities. With a moderate 8x magnification and a wide 62-degree apparent angle of view, these binoculars offer an immersive viewing experience perfect for extended sessions of observation.

The Leica 8x32 Ultravid HD-Plus Binoculars utilize custom SCHOTT HT glass for increased light transmission in the blue-violet light band, improved color accuracy, and enhanced low-light performance. The outer lenses are protected by a durable Scratch- and abrasion-resistant High Durable Coating (HDC) and a hydrophobic AquaDura coating, resulting in water and oil beading and easier cleaning for superior vision. Additionally, the roof prisms are equipped with P40 phase correction and proprietary High Lux System (HLS) coatings that greatly reduce chromatic aberration, resulting in improved color representation and increased contrast.

The construction details are as uncompromising as the optical performance, with a lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy chassis and a high-tensile titanium center hinge axle to prevent user fatigue during long glassing sessions. The binoculars are nitrogen filled for fogproof performance and can be submerged up to 16 feet, while ergonomic thumb indents and rubber armoring ensure a comfortable and slip-resistant grip. The lubrication-free focus system uses PETP-Discs for smooth movement in a broad range of temperatures.
