Built on a classic double Gauss optical design, it incorporates a pair of aspherical elements, anomalous partial dispersion glass, and high refractive index elements that create the signature subtle softness when shooting wide open, while maintaining accurate color reproduction and minimal distortion. A floating elements system ensures consistent image quality across the entire focusing range from 1m to infinity. The lens includes a built-in extendable hood and accepts 60mm threaded filters for added versatility.
