The Leica APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH. is a premium fast short telephoto lens engineered for M-mount rangefinder cameras. Its apochromatic design employs two anomalous partial dispersion glass elements to virtually eliminate chromatic aberrations and color fringing, delivering exceptional clarity and color accuracy across the aperture range. One aspherical element and two high refractive index glass elements work together to minimize distortion and spherical aberrations while maximizing sharpness and edge-to-edge illumination. The bright f/2 maximum aperture excels in challenging lighting conditions and provides superior depth-of-field control. With manual focus capability and a minimum focusing distance of 1m, this lens offers precise control for close-range work. A built-in extendable lens hood protects the front element and reduces lens flare, while the 55mm threaded front accepts standard screw-in filters for added versatility.
