The Leica APO-Summicron-M 75mm f/2 ASPH. is a premium portrait lens engineered for M-mount rangefinder cameras. Its apochromatic optical design combines fluorite and anomalous partial dispersion glass elements to eliminate chromatic aberrations and color fringing, while a high-refractive-index aspherical element controls spherical aberrations for exceptional sharpness. The bright f/2 aperture excels in low light and provides superior depth-of-field control. A floating rear element maintains image quality across the entire focusing range, including the 70cm minimum focus distance. The compact design includes a built-in extendable lens hood for flare reduction and accepts 49mm filters.
