With a 67-degree apparent viewing angle, the Leica 10x32 Ultravid HD-Plus Binoculars eliminate the need for stabilization equipment and minimize hand shake, a common issue with higher magnification optics. In addition, these binoculars provide a wide field of view for a more comfortable and stable viewing experience.
Leica utilizes SCHOTT HT glass to enhance light transmission in the blue-violet light band, improve color fidelity, and optimize low-light performance. The specially formulated glass is complemented by High Durable Coating (HDC) and hydrophobic AquaDura coating on the outer lenses, creating a scratch- and abrasion-resistant barrier that repels water and oil for easier maintenance and clearer visuals. The roof prisms are equipped with P40 phase correction and High Lux System (HLS) coatings, which effectively eliminate chromatic aberration, resulting in improved color rendition and enhanced contrast.
The construction details of these binoculars complement the exceptional optical performance. Designed to prevent user fatigue during extended use, the chassis is crafted from a lightweight, yet strong magnesium alloy and features a high-tensile titanium center hinge axle. The optical tubes are filled with nitrogen to ensure fogproof performance and are sealed to make the binoculars submersible up to 16 feet. Additionally, ergonomic thumb indents and protective rubber armoring offer a comfortable and non-slip grip. The focus system is lubrication-free and provides precise and quick focusing, while PETP-Discs ensure smooth movement in various temperatures.
