The K&F Concept Magic Arm with Upgraded Super Clamp (22") delivers extended reach for photographers and videographers without the bulk of a full stand. At 56cm, it positions monitors, lights, and microphones clear of frame in tight spaces where shorter arms fall short. Clamp it to tripod legs, light stands, or table edges for versatile mounting solutions. Supporting up to 1kg, it handles field monitors up to 7 inches, LED panels, shotgun microphones, and compact camera bodies. Three 360° ball heads offer full articulation with anti-twist pins to lock positions securely. The multifunction super clamp grips flat surfaces up to 50mm and cylindrical objects between 20mm–60mm diameter. At just 480g, it packs easily into daypacks or cases. Arm and clamp detach for modular builds or independent use across multiple setups.

Extended reach for offset mounting

The 56cm arm length solves the clearance problem that forces operators to add a second stand or compromise the shot. Position a monitor at a comfortable viewing distance during client reviews without the screen crowding the camera body. Place a light source outside the frame on a compact rig without the spill washing out the subject. Mount a shotgun microphone at interview distance without the boom creeping into the top of the frame. The extended reach is particularly useful in overhead product photography, where the arm clamps to a shelf or table edge and suspends the camera directly above the subject. The longer length does introduce more leverage at full extension, so the load capacity remains 1kg and the locking knob must be tightened firmly to prevent creep.

Three ball head elbows for multi-axis articulation

Most magic arms have two ball heads, one at each end with a rotational access point joining them. This model has three, adding a mid-point articulation that reduces strain on the end joints and allows more complex positioning. Angle a monitor toward the operator while the camera faces the subject, position a light to skim across a product without moving the entire rig, or achieve an overhead angle that would require repositioning the base clamp on a two-joint arm. Each ball head rotates 360°, and a single locking knob tightens all three joints simultaneously. This speeds up repositioning between shots without fumbling with multiple locks, critical for solo operators working under time constraints or fast-turnaround event coverage.

Super clamp with cylindrical and flat surface grip

The included mini clamp grips both flat surfaces up to 50mm thick and cylindrical objects between 20mm and 60mm diameter. This dual capability turns tripod legs, light stand columns, table edges, railings, and shelving units into mounting points. The clamp jaws are lined with non-slip silicone pads that protect surfaces from scratching and reduce the risk of marking client furniture or rented gear. The pads also dampen minor vibrations, which helps when mounting microphones or cameras. The clamp uses a hand-tightened screw mechanism with a textured grip, so no tools are required for setup or adjustment.

Anti-twist pins and foam padding

Anti-twist pins prevent rotation and drift once the arm is locked, addressing the paid-work buyer's non-negotiable: gear that holds position throughout the shoot. The pins engage when the locking knob is tightened, creating a mechanical lock that resists the rotational forces introduced by an off-centre load. Non-slip foam padding lines the contact points, further reducing the risk of slippage and protecting mounted gear from scratches. This combination of mechanical and friction-based locking is particularly important at full 56cm extension, where leverage amplifies any looseness in the joints.

All-metal construction

The arm is manufactured from aluminium alloy, balancing strength with portability. This material choice differentiates the product from plastic alternatives that flex under load or loosen after repeated use. The all-metal construction delivers reliable performance across hundreds of setups, critical for working professionals who cannot afford gear failure mid-shoot. The clamp uses a combination of metal and reinforced components, with the grip pads made from durable silicone. At 480g assembled, the arm is light enough for travel kits while maintaining the structural integrity needed to support a 1kg load at full extension.

Modular design for flexible rig builds

The arm and clamp are designed to function both together and independently. Use the clamp alone to secure a phone holder to a tripod leg, or mount the arm directly to a cage via the 1/4-inch thread. This modularity reduces the need for duplicate gear and allows the same kit to serve multiple roles across different shoots. The arm can be used on any accessory or base with a 1/4-inch, while the clamp acts as a general-purpose mounting point on its own. This makes it easier to adapt to changing rig requirements without buying separate components for each configuration.
