The lens features in-lens optical image stabilization with five and a half stops of correction and eight stops with Coordinated IS when used with a compatible camera. The addition of four ultra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements improves image sharpness and reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations. Furthermore, the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 is equipped with Super Spectra, Air Sphere, and Fluorine coatings to minimize ghosting and flare caused by reflections on the lens surface.
