Color Display
You can monitor the health and operation of the charger at any time by pressing the interactive control button and activating the built-in status display. The display will show you overall power output, power output per port, and the current temperature of the charger. The control button also lets you rotate the screen in 90° increments to better orient to different positions when plugged in. Additional interfaces, such as animated emoticons and total operating time are unlockable to provide additional functionality. To save on power usage, the screen times out after one minute of inactivity.
Real-Time Safety
ActiveShield 4.0 is the name of Anker's constant temperature monitoring system, which checks the temperature approximately 3,000,000 times per day. If things do get hotter than they should, an advanced cooling algorithm can help mitigate heat issues as you charge. Your devices also benefit from protection against short circuits.
Clever Port Placement
Unlike other chargers with ports on the opposite side of the plug facing outward, this charger places them underneath, facing down to the floor. When you attach all four cables to the charger, this feature helps prevent their weight from pulling the charger from the socket.
