The long anticipated new wide-angle Pro range of lenses we have been hearing murmurs of for a while have officially been announced by Olympus.

Looking down from Mount Olympus and seeing all from a wide angel view will no longer be a privilege with for Zeus and the rest of the Greek Gods. The introduction of the M.Zuiko digital ED 7-14mm f2.8 PRO and M.ZUiKO Digital ED 8mm fisheye PRO which may we add are both weather sealed and ready for you to embrace the elements are promising to provide Olympus OM-D cameras with a perspective that has no near rival.

Where the M.ZUiKO Digital ED PRO lenses shine

They are both considerably smaller than their full –frame counterparts, with the 7-14mm weighing in at around 534 grams and the 8mm ranks up only 314 grams, in this particular case load shedding is not a bad thing.

When you have optics with such large exposed front elements an integrated lens hoods is a really nice touch, as per normal with use smudging will occur from time to time, so watch out for those pesky finger prints.

Both lenses also offer

Dust, freeze and splash proof
All metal finish
Autofocus with high speed

Dedicated Fn button
Manual focus clutch
Minimum focusing distance 7,5 cm*
